Chaotic scenes brought a close to Tuesday's FFA Cup final as Sydney FC claimed a 2-1 victory over Adelaide United in extra time.

During extra-time, Adelaide was trailing 2-1 when they earned a throw-in close to the halfway line.

His actions went down like a lead balloon, and infuriated Adelaide defender Michael Marrone so much that he tackled to boy vigorously in an attempt to retrieve it.

Sydney's Brazilian striker Bobo scored what turned out to be the victor after 111 minutes, but there was time for some late drama to overshadow the enthralling affair after Adelaide United's Michael Marrone pushed over a ball boy who seemed determined to try and waste a few precious seconds for the home side.
