Billy Bush to Trump: 'Enough's enough'

Bush published a piece recently for the New York Times discussing the tape and the claims that President Trump sexually assaulted more than a dozen women in the past.

The op-ed, published on December 3, was in direct response to Trump's recent assertion that the voice on the now-infamous Access Hollywood tape "was not authentic" and that the "locker room talk" was doctored. In regards to how he reacted when the tape first resurfaced, the Today alum said watching it was like a "gut punch" and originally equated Donald's words to a "crass stand-up act".

That was the tape that caused an uproar - but obviously did not derail - Trump's 2016 presidential campaign when the candidate was heard boasting to Bush that as a celebrity, he can "do anything" with women, including "grab them by the pussy". "A lot of people were not comfortable with the man who was close to winning the election and a lot of things happened quickly", Bush, 46, said. "By the way", Bush said to Trump, "I would also like to say that's not me on the bus". Bush said he was "infuriated" when he learned President Trump didn't take responsibility for the 2005 recording.

"He, last week, for some reason came out with, 'That's not my voice on the tape.' Like I said, you can't say that", Bush said. "I said, 'I appreciated it, ' and accepted it and thanked him".

"Twenty women don't get together and say, 'Hey, you know what would be really fun?" Stop playing around with people's lives.

At the time of the tape, Trump's show, "The Apprentice", was one of NBC's biggest headliners.

After a long break for laughter, Bush said that these days, he feels "like I sacrificed a little bit of who I am in the moment", adding that he hopes the sexual harassment reckoning across various industries continues to advance. And I said, 'Okay, you're reopening wounds on them too. Be a better person.' So I passed a television in the office when I was checking in, and he's got the hand up, and I'm going into my little cabin to do the work.

"The first time I ever heard it was three days before it leaked", he recalled.

She wanted to be a lawyer and wanted to help the world to be a better place", Rosalie's mother wrote on GoFundMe. Mom Charlene called the bullies "heartless". "You're a very heartless person, and you have no compassion".

Bush then reflected on how he felt about NBC firing him - and his response to Matt Lauer's firing after allegations of sexual misconduct. "I'm anxious that the dialogue isn't going to be around, because we get on to the next thing, we get onto our phones, the next outrage comes".

"Women must be believed, and we kind of have to find our way to have the dialogue", Bush explained.

Bush told Colbert: "You've got 20 women ... who used their names". "I'm anxious that the dialogue isn't going to be around".
