Coach Winklejohn Predicts Holly Holm Shocks The World Again At UFC 219

While the UFC 207 headliner between women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey generated far more hype, UFC 219's main event between women's featherweight champ Cris "Cyborg" Justino and Holly Holm is arguably just as significant.

Coach Mike Winklejohn has been alongside Holm for the majority of her combat sports career and he predicts that the fighter shocks the world again by beating Cyborg. "Cyborg" proceeded to stop the gritty veteran, who agreed to step up and fight the Brazilian star at 140 pounds, in the opening round.

"With Ronda, I was open to a rematch as well, it's just they didn't know how long or when she would come back or if she would want to and that's when I said I don't want to just wait around", Holm said during the UFC 219 media conference call on Thursday. I really, truly believe she is. And she had what I call that "Christy Martin moment" where Christy tried to throw a punch at her, Holly slipped under and then Christy nearly went through the ropes. "For this fight, I have a lot of tools in which I can win this fight".

"I want to beat the best because I feel better about it", said Holm.

"If that were to happen in this fight, of course I would say yes", Holm said about a rematch with Cyborg. "I'm going for wanting to feel good".

When it comes to ferocious knockout strikers in women's mixed martial arts, Cris "Cyborg" Justino sets the gold standard.

Holly Holm understands how big a win for her would be at UFC 219.

"I believe I am capable of KO'ing any woman in the world, including Holly Holm", Cyborg told FloCombat ahead of UFC 219. Holm lost the title she took off Ronda Rousey in November 2015 against Miesha Tate in her first title defense, before dropping losses to Valentina Shevchenko and Germaine de Randamie.

Cyborg is leaving nothing to chance in the lead up to this fight - not only because it's the first defense of her UFC title, but also because this will be her first main event on pay-per-view.
