Guardiola: My Manchester City side are learning to win in Fergie Time

The Hammers diligent, valiant performance at the Etihad could not prevent another defeat, as league leaders Manchester City secured a 2-1 comeback win with David Silva scoring another late victor for Pep Guardiola's side.

Guardiola's side have rescued nine Premier League points with goals in the final seven minutes of matches already this season, with David Silva's 83rd-minute finish their third late victor in a week.

'I heard about the Fergie time, ' Guardiola added. "If we can take something in Fergie time, it is welcome, a pleasure".

"We showed much better discipline as a team and now we need to move on". The opponent doesn't want to play.

West Ham took a shock first-half lead at the Emirates Stadium, but goals from Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva ensured that City would re-open an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

It was the third match in a row that City have come up with a late victor and it put them on 43 points from 15 matches, eight ahead of Manchester United, whom they play next weekend.

"Of course, I was a little upset because I thought we did great and were so close to getting at least one point". They just want to defend, waiting for a moment.

But Guardiola is taking nothing for granted.

Three men charged with Maltese journalist's murder
Muscat initially announced eight arrests at a press conference, then later said on Twitter that two more had been apprehended. Authorities have 48 hours to question those in custody before either charging or releasing them.

West Ham actually had the lead against City for a stage, when Angelo Ogbonna headed home from a corner.

Kevin De Bruyne's free-kick from the edge of the box seemed destined for the goal but Adrian made a superb stop to deny the Belgian and the keeper then made another top-drawer save to deny Jesus's curling effort.

It hasn't always been plain sailing for Pep Guardiola's side however, as on four occasions (Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Southampton, West Ham) they've had to come back from a goal down, and on four occasions they've relied on late goals to secure all three points (Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Southampton, West Ham).

"We're gutted that we lost it", Moyes said.
