Plane from Georgia skids off icy taxiway in Boston

Crews worked to clear the runways at Logan Airport Christmas Day during the peak of the snowstorm.

The mishap involving an AirBus A320 occurred around 7:15 p.m.as Flight 50 from Savannah, Georgia touched down in Boston, where almost three inches of snow had fallen earlier in the day, the airline said. There were no injuries. Firefighters rushed to the scene of the incident to safely guide the passengers off the plane. There were about 13,500 reported outages in the state as of 10:30 a.m., officials said.
