Well done Ed! He's just received an MBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace for his services in music and his dedication to charity.

Sheeran was the most-streamed artist of 2017 and supports various charities, including the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the ONE Campaign.

Ed, dressed in a blue tie, long black jacket, light blue waistcoat and grey pants, held up his medal outside the Palace and told press that he would happily perform the first song at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

30 homes reported destroyed in the Creek Fire
The fire could reach the Simi Valley area due to heavy winds, the Simi Valley Police Department said in a statement . Rye Canyon Loop was also closed, along with state Route 126 from Copperhill Drive to the Golden State Freeway.

As he collected the honor at Buckingham Palace, the Divide singer-songwriter said previous generations of Sheerans would be proud.

The investiture ceremony went rather better than Ed's last brush with royalty too, as he was left needing stitches after an incident at a party held at the home of Charles' younger brother Prince Andrew in November 2016.

While Sheeran and Harry aren't exactly pals, the 26-year-old singer says he'd probably perform at Harry's nuptials to Markle "if I was free" - but doesn't want to get fans' hopes up!
