Game of Thrones won't air any episodes in 2018 - and will instead premiere its final season in 2019 - got even more backup Wednesday when star Sophie Turner said as much in an interview with our sister site Variety.

In a new interview with Variety, Sophie Turner discusses production for the final season, which is now filming.

"This season, there's a new threat, and all of a sudden she finds herself somewhat back in the deep end", Turner said.

In a recent interview with Variety, Turner spoke about the upcoming season 8 of the series, Sansa's struggles and the future ahead.
