San Francisco 49ers' linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested in Tuscaloosa Friday night.

AL.com says the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrest database indicates Foster, who just finished his rookie season, was arrested Friday.

Under Alabama state criminal law, second-degree possession is a Class A misdemeanor.

In order to draft Foster, the 49ers dealt their second-round pick (No. 34 overall) and a fourth-rounder acquired from the Chicago Bears earlier on draft night (No. 111 overall) to the Seattle Seahawks for pick No. 31. He also submitted a diluted urine sample for a drug test at the Scouting Combine, which in the National Football League is considered the same as a positive test.

The arrest comes almost two weeks after Foster closed out his rookie season, finishing second on the 49ers in tackles with 72 in 10 games.

Although he missed six games with a knee injury, Foster had an excellent rookie season when he was healthy enough to play.

Last month, Congress approved an 11th hour plan by passing a short-term spending measure to keep the program going until March. The federal government paid almost $14.5 billion for CHIP expenses in fiscal 2016, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation .

When Lynch was directly asked about the diluted sample, he made it clear he was not concerned.
