Among their promises for the 2018 model year F-150 though is something everyone was keen to pick up on - the fitting of a 3.0-liter Powerstroke turbo-diesel engine. Ford claims the F-150 3.0L Power Stroke will have best-in-class payload and trailer towing capabilities of up to 2,020 pounds and 11,400 pounds, respectively.
The diesel F-150 will cost between $2,400 and $4,000 more than a comparable gasoline truck, depending on the specific model, Ford executives said. That explains how Ford managed to get it to deliver all that brawn while keeping fuel economy figures decent.
Ford F-150 Power Stroke Diesel First Look: Lionhearted
It'll pack 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque and come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission when it hits dealers this spring.
Already the leader in full-size pickup engine choices (five), Ford looks to tighten its grip on sales leadership in this profitable class with the addition of a diesel engine option for the F-150. With 310 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque, the 5.0-liter turbodiesel V8 powering Nissan's Titan XD is a different concept, straddling the border between half-ton and heavy-duty pickups. A common-rail fuel injection system precisely optimizes performance and fuel efficiency, while a high-pressure 29,000 pounds per square inch injection calibration enables smoother, quieter operation with reduced emissions. Auto Start-Stop also comes standard, another nod to fuel efficiency.
7-Eleven Customers May Have Been Exposed to Hepatitis A
Health officials estimate 2,000 customers may be affected, based on the average sales volume of the 7-Eleven, 2666 W. 7800 South. The health department believes this case could be linked to the ongoing outbreak Salt Lake County has experienced since August.
"We know that competing diesels with electric cooling fans have to dial back on power under extreme heat and altitude, so we decided on a viscous-controlled mechanical fan that has the capacity to move much more air across the radiator and intercooler in extreme conditions", said David Ives, Ford diesel engine technical specialist. The engine will be offered on both 4×2 and 4×4 versions of the SuperCab and SuperCrew body styles.
For fleet customers who use their truck for work, the 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel engine will be available on all F-150 trim levels with SuperCrew 5.5-foot or 6.5-foot bed configurations and SuperCab trucks with a 6.5 foot bed.

Hulu CEO Randy Freer, who took the reins last year when Mike Hopkins departed for Sony, called 2017 "a momentous year for Hulu". More importantly, it's led to a massive boom in business for Hulu.
Production of the non-petrol alternative will be increased with an aim that around five per cent of the F-150 range will be diesel.
The deliveries of the new truck model is expected in the spring and booking will begin this month.

Ford said that 70 percent of its F-150 owners tow with their pickups, and they expect roughly 80 percent of diesel truck buyers will do the same. The final assembly for the truck is Ford's Dearborn truck plant.
