Israel to resume power supply to Gaza Strip

The majority of rockets were fired in the last two months of 2017, coinciding with the army's demolition of two cross-border terror tunnels and US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the official capital of Israel.

In practical terms, the limited power supply means that most Gazans will have four hours of electricity a day, followed by 12 hours without.

Even with the restoration the residents of Gaza will only have around six hours of electricity per day.
