Mountain West school set to hire Alabama's Derrick Ansley

After long last, the Colorado State Rams football team has their new defensive coordiantor in Derrick Ansley.

Ansley will coach No. 4 Alabama Monday night as it plays No. 3 Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. While his role has yet to be announced, Golding has experience coaching defensive backs in the past.

For those unaware, Ansley is now Alabama's defensive backs coach. He was promoted to co-defensive coordinator for the 2016 season before accepting the position with the Crimson Tide.

It will be available in Azure Silver and Deepsea Black colors in the U.S. (a gold pink color is also available in other markets). Performance is delivered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB or 4GB of RAM dependent on model, and up to 64GB of storage .

We look at Ansley's history, which started at Troy University as a player, went through D-III Huntingdon College and has him now with the Alabama Crimson Tide as their DBs coach.

As The Tuscaloosa News previously reported, UA hired Pete Golding for next year's staff. Golding has an extensive background in coaching defensive backs. Before that, he spent three seasons at Kentucky, serving as the cornerbacks coach from 2013-14 and secondary coach in 2015.

He may have limited experience as an actual defensive coordinator but with a glowing resume and a history that shows he is well respected in the nation's most elite football conference, I'm not sure Bobo could have found a more ideal hire for the program. For the entire season, Alabama gave up seven passing touchdowns, two of which were scored by CSU's Warren Jackson in September.

And remember, just because this movie has "last" in the title somewhere doesn't mean it's the last film in the franchise. The fourth Insidious film follows a parapsychologist (Lin Shaye) investigating a haunting in her childhood home.

Simply put, Ansley is a victor and a ideal fit for a football program that has historically struggled to defend the pass with any sort of consistency.

How Alabama will restructure its defensive staff is unclear.

It's the first coordinator job for Ansley, who began his FBS coaching career as a two-year graduate assistant at Alabama in 2010-11.
