Schools closed, delayed, Monday due to icy conditions

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, Georgia Northwestern Technical College will delay the opening of all campuses until 12 p.m. Officials with Lincoln County Schools said they will be dismissing students at 11 a.m. Monday afternoon.

In Ohio, Chesapeake Union schools, Fairland Local schools, Portsmouth City schools, Rock Hill Local schools, and Symmes Valley schools are closed.

Schools in Alexander, Anson, Avery, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Richmond and Watauga counties will be closed.

Northampton County Schools will be closed for students and staff on Monday. Most central office employees will report at 10:00 am unless directed by their immediate supervisor to report earlier. Transit drivers should report at 10 a.m.as well.
