French Pres. threatens military strike if Syria regime using WMD

The French government has announced it will introduce a "Universal National Service" for young citizens, as President Emmanuel Macron delivers on one of his campaign pledges.

Macron spoke by phone to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday and urged him to call on the Assad regime to "put an end to the unsustainable deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Eastern Ghouta and Idlib".

Macron told reporters on Tuesday evening France "will strike the place where they are launched or where they are prepared".
