"My doctor has prescribed - are you ready? - as of today, three weeks of vacation", she said, to a roar and applause from her audience at "The Wendy Williams Show".

Williams noted that it feels like there are "birds swimming around my head, like a cartoon".

She said at the time: "I have thyroid disease".

"That was because I promised myself two things", she said.

This isn't the first time Williams has made headlines due to her health.

On Oct. 31, Williams was celebrating Halloween by dressing up in an elaborate Statue of Liberty costume when she suddenly passed out in front of her studio audience and viewers at home.

She is not pleased at all with the fact that she has to take a three-week break from the show and she added that she is a working-class woman.

When the star returned to her show on Monday, she apologized to fans for the inconvenience and expressed that she was feeling better. "In Graves' disease these antibodies.do the opposite - they cause the cells to work overtime". Treatment options to control Graves' disease hyperthyroidism include antithyroid drugs (generally methimazole [Tapazole®], although propylthiouracil [PTU] may be used in rare instances such as the first trimester of pregnancy), radioactive iodine and surgery.

She also encouraged women to take their health seriously and "get stuff checked out", because women often put their families and business ahead of themselves. Should this occur, doctors will likely prescribe hormone tablets.

Graves' Disease, according to the American Thyroid Association (ATA), is "an autoimmune disease that leads to a generalized overactivity of the entire thyroid gland", named after Irish physician Robert Graves. Who is going to pay my bills? Williams also took a shot at Meghan Markle when she announced that Markle tried to apply for a job at the show.

"That was not a stunt", Williams said at the end of that episode. But you know what? I will be back Monday and topics will be POPPING!

Having never missed an episode of her show since it began in 2008, Williams had cancelled several episodes last week citing "flu-like" symptoms.
