Two package bomb blasts a few miles apart killed a teenager and wounded two women in Austin on Monday, less than two weeks after a similar attack left a man dead in another part of the city.

On Monday, the 17-year-old found a package outside his house and brought it into the kitchen, where it exploded, Manley said. Along with a first explosion on March 2nd, which killed a man just north of Austin, CNN reports the authorities are now trying to determine whether or not all three incidents are connected.

Police said people can call 911 if they believe they have received a suspicious or unexpected package left at their homes. The package exploded when someone opened it, Fox7 Austin reported.

Governor Greg Abbott is now offering a reward of $15,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons involved in the deadly package blasts that have occurred in Austin over the past ten days.

"We cannot rule [out] that hate crime is at the core of this, but we're not saying that's the cause as well", he said.

Then after a superb approach from the rough to 20 feet at the par-4 third, Woods drained the birdie putt to get his round rolling. Thinking of that image of Woods and to now see him near the lead of a golf tournament just 13 months later is remarkable.

The suspect (or suspects) is not ringing the doorbell with the delivery, Manley said, so it is unclear how long the packages were on the victims' porches before they saw and moved them.

As investigators combed through the scene, residents from south Austin called police about another explosion inside a house.

The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms said a national response team would join Austin police in the investigation.

The first blast Monday, which detonated before 7 a.m., killed a 17-year-old boy and injured a woman.

"We have had two victims that were African American, and the victim of this latest incident was a 75-year-old Hispanic female", the police chief said.

Manley said investigators believe the March 2 attack and Monday's first explosion are related.

According to KVUE Reporter Christy Millweard, Austin police evacuated neighbors from the area after the explosion in an attempt to keep it clear. Police have reclassified the first incident from suspicious to a homicide.

"If you do not know who might have sent it, you're not expecting it, do not pick it up, do not shake it, don't listen to it, just call us (police) and we'll come out and we'll take care of it", McManus said.
