Eagles' Chris Long blasts Seahawks for cancelling visit with Colin Kaepernick

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly signing Stephen Morris to play as backup quarterback, NFL.com reports.

One day after it was reported that the Seattle Seahawks postponed a workout with free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the team has chose to sign QB Stephen Morris, according ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 30year-old former National Football League player has not played in the National Football League since he became a free agent after the 2016 season.

This is a developing story. That report was contradicted in part by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who reported that the Seahawks postponed the workout because "the team asked for his plan moving forward on how to handle everything and there was not a firm plan".

Although his decision was never explicitly given as a reason for not being handed a contract, multiple sources including CBS and ESPN now say that Seattle have pulled the plug on a potential deal due to his protests.

Morris also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, and the Washington Redskins in 2018 before they waived him. Wilson and Morris are still the only two quarterbacks now on the Seahawks' roster. He is the only backup on the roster for the Seahawks.

Sen. "I am a states person, it must be up to the nations, perfectly", he told a television interviewer in Colorado this year. President Trump is going green - and Attorney General Sessions is likely seeing red.

The move comes on the heels of news that Seattle had planned a workout with Kaepernick, but had scuttled it after the controversial quarterback had been unwilling to lay out a plan for his future. Kaepernick appears to be deposing some of the teams that had been linked to him in some fashion over the past year - front offices that ultimately chose to go another direction.

This news story had pretty much everyone talking about the Kaepernick situation all over social media on Thursday.

Kaepernick's national anthem demonstration began during the 2016 season when he and former teammate Eric Reid began kneeling to protest police violence and racism against communities of color.
