The news arrives through the Microsoft's Office blog and it points out to a pair of features that were introduced first for OneDrive for Business and that the company is now pushing to anyone who is signed up for an Office 365 Home or a Personal subscription. First in the list is a file recovery capability in personal OneDrive account which will allow users to restore entire OneDrive and recover files, going back as far as 30 days.

The ransomware detection and Files Restore have already started rolling out, while rest of the features will start rolling out in the coming weeks. In case, an attack is detected, Office 365 will provide the user date and time of attack, and guide him to recover the OneDrive, depending on the time. Malware is now even spread through malicious links and some can even hold your files for ransom. This feature scrutinizes the OneDrive looking for signs of a ransomware attack and then informs the user through email, desktop or mobile notifications. The catch? You'll have to subscribe to Office 365, Microsoft's subscription service that also includes access to PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and the other Office apps.

You can also create a one-time passcode for people to read the encrypted email in Outlook, and there will be an option that prevents people from forwarding on your encrypted email to other recipients. This is to prevent users to land on any suspicious webpage, and if the user is being directed to any of the suspicious web pages, the user will be notified regarding the same. Recipients can view the encrypted email in Outlook.com, the Outlook for iOS or Android app, or the Windows Mail app just like any other message.
