Tweeting from his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, Trump wrote, "Too many contingencies and no way to get out if it doesn't work".

However Trump indicated last week he might reopen talks on the trade agreement.

"I don't want to go back into TPP, but if they offered us a deal that I can't refuse, on behalf of the United States, I would do it", Trump said.

Withdrawing from a 12 member agreement contract that was negotiated under the tenure of Barack Obama and the Trans Pacific Partnership was one of the first steps taken by President Donald Trump when he stepped into the presidency.
