40 feared drowned as boat capsizes in Godavari River in Andhra Pradesh

On Tuesday evening at around 6pm, a passenger boat carrying almost 40 people from Devipatanam to Vadapalli of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, capsized at Manturu village. According to the latest report, till now, 10 people have been rescued, with teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) being deployed at the site of the mishap.
