Billy Horschel, Scott Piercy claim Zurich Classic of New Orleans title

Alexander Bjork, who earned his first career European Tour win Sunday at the Volvo China Open, moved up 39 spots to No. 73.

Billy Horschel and Scott Piercy won the Zurich Classic team event Sunday near New Orleans, closing with a bogey-free 5-under-par 67 in alternate-shot play. "It wanted to take a trip around the hole once or twice to soak it in", Horschel said with a laugh.

When Piercy's putt fell, it gave Horschel his fifth career tour win, and his second at the Zurich Classic.

Billy Horschel and Scott Piercy have put together a final-round 67 to secure victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans event.

Chez Reavie and Lucas Glover threatened to break 60 in Thursday's four balls while Sunday's grinding golf provided plenty of interest in the finish.

The American pair started the day three shots behind overnight leaders Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown. While some more rounds of 60 were recorded in Four-ball, no team has yet to shoot sub-60 in the two years of the format.

UK's No 2 and No 3 supermarkets to merge
SAINBURY'S said there are no planned store closures as part of the deal, with both brands to operate side by side. Asda has historically been stronger in the north of England and Sainsbury's dominant in the south.

They certainly did with a steady round of five birdies and 13 pars.

"Scott is a really great wedge player so I knew if I could get him to within 125 yards of then hole he would likely leave me with a putt inside 10 feet, and that strategy worked, especially through the first part of the round", Horschel said.

"We missed a couple of putts and I didn't do much to help Duff, but it was a good week and fun event", Perez said. "I said "Scott just get me on green". It's weird because you go from every other shot, I just knew that my partner was hitting good shots, so I just had to go try to put him in the right spot for the next one".

Horschel was so flummoxed by what-could-have-been that he threw down his cap and dropped his putter before regaining his composure to tap in the remaining putt for a par.

Perez and Dufner needed to get up and down for birdie on the last to force a playoff, but Perez' bunker shot left Dufner with a 14-footer to join the lead, and they ultimately had to settle for a par and second place in New Orleans.

"It's kind of weird, because I don't feel like I played very well at all. That's pretty tough in alternate shot". By the time the top five teams had all reached the back nine, they were all within two shots of one another.

Mohamed Salah's image rights dispute with Egyptian Football Association drags on
I was hoping the handling (of the dispute) would be classier than this", Salah tweeted Sunday. Ramy Abbas, Salah's agent, said he has been waiting for a response from Egyptian officials.

"To get back is nice", he said, "and to do it with a good friend is even better".

The team of Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel finished third at 20-under. "You really had to have your speed good today".

They lost another stroke with a bogey at the par 3, 215-yard 17th and finished 19-under in a two-way tie for fourth with Tommy Fleetwood and Chris Paisley, who chipped for an eagle on No. 18. "It's not like I had to coach him up".

Horschel and Piercy celebrate after winning the Zurich Classic on the 18th hole. "We were chatting it up the entire day— toward the end of the round, a little less", Horschel said.

"I was hurt the last half of the year, some struggles and stuff, so to get back is nice and to do it with a good friend is even better".
