Carrie Underwood talks about 'freak accident' on 'Today' show


"It just wasn't pretty".

The 35-year-old country star spoke out on Thursday's episode of Today after breaking her wrist and injuring her face in a "freak accident" in November. But the song, which says, "You can pretty lie and say it's okay / You can pretty smile and just walk away / Pretty much fake your way through anything / But you can't cry pretty", has resonated with listeners all over the country, regardless of their circumstances. "Every day I feel a little bit more back to normal".

Just six months after her traumatizing fall, Carrie Underwood continues to rise above the fear and brave the feeling of nervousness in her comeback.
