Shooting at middle school in IN, 2 victims in critical condition

After the IN attack, students were bused to the Noblesville High School gym, where hundreds of parents and other family members arrived to retrieve them.

The two victims were being transported to hospital from Noblesville West Middle School in a suburb of the state capital Indianapolis, according to state police.

The shooting, by CNN's count, was the 23rd in the United States this year and comes just a week after a high school student in Santa Fe, Texas, shot and killed eight classmates and two teachers.

"I try to be around her every single day because she lightens my day", said Lynn Partlow, another school friend. "If he didn't do anything he probably would have continued shooting and a lot more of us would have been injured and possibly killed, so it was just something that not most people would have done but he was really courageous to do it".
