From August 2019 BT will show 52 live games per season, and Sky 128.

BT Sport has proven success of showing multiple matches on the same night through its UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League coverage over the last three seasons - something that will continue until at least 2021. It will be the first time a full round of Premier League fixtures has been broadcast live in the UK.

How can I watch these games on Amazon?

If prices remain as they are, it seems that the cheapest monthly cost of Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime Video packages that cover all the live games will set you back £66.48 a month.

After the past two domestic deals both produced 70 per cent jumps in the value of rights, the league is now experiencing a downturn and looking to generate more revenue overseas where all 380 games are available live each season.

Amazon has secured the rights to show English Premier League football matches in a pioneering move for the online sector in the bidding war for sports events.

The deal has been signed for three seasons, bringing the total number of matches to 60.

The Premier League is easing into doling out fixtures to streaming video.

Revenue is now shared equally among the 20 clubs, but the bigger clubs had been pushing for a greater share of the money, arguing they are the main attraction for foreign viewers.

It was reported on Monday by The Telegraph that BT along with a "new online player" had purchased the final two packages.

BT TV customers can access all of the action on BT Sport from just £6 a month.
