Corey Lewandowski mocks child with Down syndrome taken from mom at border

A former campaign manager for Donald Trump provoked an angry backlash on Tuesday night by apparently dismissing a story about a girl with Down's syndrome reportedly separated from her mother at the U.S. border with a sarcastic "Womp womp".

Before Petkanas finished his sentence, Lewandowski cut in, saying "womp, womp", at which point Petkanas stopped his story and asked Lewandowski, "Did you just say "womp, womp" to a 10-year-old with Down syndrome being taken from her mother?"

Lewandowski interrupted, mockingly interjecting, "womp womp".

President Donald Trump, left, watches as Corey Lewandowski, right, his former campaign manager for Trump's presidential campaign, speaks during a campaign rally in April.

Petkanas, a former Hillary Clinton campaign staffer who went on to run a "Trump War Room" for the Democratic National Committee according to The Hill, snapped at Lewandowski's seemingly unfeeling response to the story of the Down's Syndrome child. "How absolutely dare you, sir". The girl and her brother were sent to a US detention facility in McAllen, Texas, while their mother was sent an hour away to Brownsville, Videgaray added.

Earlier today, a Mexican official said one of those children was a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome.

South Korean players wear wrong squad numbers in training to confuse Sweden
They should have equalised in the dying seconds but Hwang Hee-chan put a free header wide, spurning the Koreans' best chance. He even acknowledged his players "were a little bit psychologically concerned about the height of the Swedish players".

Among those who immediately condemned Lewandowski's comments was former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who tweeted, "There is no low to which this coward Corey Lewandowski won't sink".

These tone-deaf comments come in the face of unsettling audio that was recently obtained from inside a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility where an agent can be heard joking, "We have an orchestra here", as children cry in the background.

If Rick's about to die in season 9, either of these would make sense as a storytelling device to bring his journey full circle. He also now stars in the Marvel-Netflix series " The Punisher ", a role he originated in Season 2 of " Daredevil ".
