Less than three hours before SC polls closed on Tuesday in the state's primary elections, President Donald Trump fired off a series of insults against Republican Rep. Mark Sanford and endorsed his GOP opponent, state Rep.

"Mark Sanford has been very unhelpful to me in my campaign to MAGA", Mr. Trump tweeted on his way home from his summit with North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-Un in Singapore.

"He is MIA and nothing but trouble", Trump said.

He also slammed Sanford as being 'better off in Argentina'.

One measure of the enthusiasm among Nevada Democrats this year: In-person early voting among registered Democrats for Tuesday's primary was 11% higher than for registered Republicans as of June 7, according to the Nevada secretary of state's office.

Sometimes going into a big tournament is about not losing and being passive but, for us, it's about playing attacking football. We are just trying to improve every day we work together. "We definitely don't have that divide in the team any more".

It is a different story in western counties, where voters must choose between a Republican and Democratic ballot. "I strongly endorse Adam Laxalt for Governor of Nevada", he tweeted. Tarkanian is instead seeking a House seat. He will not appear on Tuesday's primary ballot since he is the only Republican candidate running for the position.

Although Sanford backed key Republican priorities in Congress such as cutting taxes and healthcare, and has been endorsed by major conservatives groups such as the Club for Growth, he has also been vocal with his criticism of Trump when they have disagreed.

This office is now held by Scott Taylor of Virginia Beach.

The state's tightest House race is in the 10th district, which includes part of Northern Virginia.

"Any one of these charges would be enough for impeachment and the president should have to answer for them in front of the Senate", he said. The victor will challenge GOP Representative Dave Brat, who is seen as potentially vulnerable. But Tarkanian announced in March that he would run for a House seat after Trump urged him on Twitter not to take on Heller.

Here's a guide of things to watch for in Tuesday's primaries.

Florence attorney Marguerite Willis, who has said she was driven into the race by "the racist, sexist president of the United States", has argued that a woman is needed to take on the good-old-boy network and fight for better lives for women and the poor. Tim Kaine (D- Virginia), those candidates have already won their party's nominations.

With both party primaries set for Tuesday, strong Democratic candidates are expected to emerge to challenge almost every major statewide office now held by Nevada Republicans, offering Democrats their best shot in years to seize political control over the state.

Republican Catherine Templeton and Democrat Marguerite Willis are vying to become South Carolina's governor, though both face long odds of emerging victorious in their primaries. In the swing state of Nevada, Democratic Representative Jacky Rosen is expected to sail to the nomination to face vulnerable Republican Senator Dean Heller. General elections will be held on Tuesday, November 6.

President Trump tweeted his endorsement of Katie Arrington roughly three hours before polls closed in SC. If he fails to top 50%, it would catapult him into a one-on-one runoff.

It's so far unclear whether the USA and North Korea will release some kind of joint statement or agreement following the sit-down. The two clasped hands for a long while Tuesday as they posed for photos in front of a row of USA and North Korean flags.

But this year, some Nevada Democrats who normally wouldn't vote in the midterms say they are turning out to make their voices heard.
