So, the joint statement by the two leaders effectively outlined a wish, to denuclearise the Korean Peninsula, and to hold more meetings in the future.

In the statement, Trump "committed to provide security guarantees" to North Korea and Kim "reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula".
