Kate Spade's sister says designer's death 'not unexpected by me'

The world continues to mourn the loss of fashion designer Kate Spade, who committed suicide Tuesday at age 55.

Though the reason why Spade chose to take her own life is still unconfirmed, the suicide note, which Yahoo News says was found on the bed near her body, suggests that Spade's husband and business partner, Andy-brother of comedic actor David Spade-may know something more.

More information about Kate Spade's life before her passing has been revealed.

In an email statement to the Kansas City Star, Kate's older sister Reta Saffo said that Kate had struggled with depression for years, but suggested Spade did not get the treatment she needed in part because she was concerned about how it would impact her public image and brand.

Her family said in a statement, "We are all devastated... we loved Kate dearly and will miss her terribly". "It was a complete shock", he said. Her look - bright colours and clear lines - quickly gained attention, appearing on the shelves of upmarket NY department stores quite soon.

Fred agrees Manchester United switch
He will become the fourth Brazilian midfielder to play for Manchester United , following Kleberson, Anderson and Rodrigo Possebon. With Michael Carrick retiring and Marouane Fellaini likely to leave, midfield was one area that needed his attention.

I was very sorry to read of Kate Spade's untimely passing, and hope her story serves as a reminder that sometimes, despite the support and love of people who care and their repeated attempts to get someone help, a person may still make the decision to forgo the pain they are experiencing with an act that can not be undone.

Kate is also survived by her 13-year-old daughter Frances, from her 24-year marriage to Andy Spade.

He said they had been living apart but he was in touch - either visiting with her or speaking with her - every day.

"We were not legally separated, and never even discussed divorce", he adds. We were best friends trying to work through our problems in the best way we knew how. "We were together for 35 years", he said.

Born as Katherine Noel Brosnahan in 1962 in Kansas city, Missouri, Kate Spade was a successful businesswoman and also once edited the fashion magazine Mademoiselle.

Inside the hotel where Trump and Kim will meet
A US advance team was spotted at the Capella Hotel last week meeting with North Korean officials in preparation for the summit. United States officials have not met with Kim since Trump cancelled the summit, scheduled for next week in Singapore .

Brosnahan, whose mother Carol was Spade's sister, on Wednesday shared a video on Instagram of the designer dancing with husband Andy as a mariachi band plays in the background. The contents of that note, as well as the physical state of the apartment and the comments of the witness, lend to the credibility that it is an apparent suicide, ' he said.

Over the past few years, Spade "disappeared" from the NY social scene. "Kate loved Bea so very much", he said. Spade apparently tied a scarf around her neck, attached one end to a door knob and then leaned forward, according to police.

On social media, many women were recalling their first Spade bag.

In his statement, Andy Spade described his wife as "the most lovely woman in the world. This was someone that really valued her private life and I don't think Kate could live in the cruel world that we live in today".
