Tyson Fury next fight: August 18th on Carl Frampton undercard

Tyson Fury secured victory on his long-awaited ring return after opponent Sefer Seferi retired prior to the fifth round of their heavyweight contest in Manchester, England.

He continued to grin and gesticulate in round two, earning a telling-off from referee Phil Edwards at one point, and the surreal nature of proceedings was enhanced when the fighters appeared to be distracted by a disturbance in the crowd.

From the moment Fury lifted Seferi off his feet during the pre-fight weigh-in, it was clear his comeback was unlikely to go down in the heavyweight annals, and Seferi duly obliged.

"The opponent was small and light".

"He took me a few rounds so I'm happy with it". I wouldn't change a thing, and we move on to the next one. I am determined to enjoy my career this time around and not take anything for granted.

Trump says one-on-one Kim meeting was 'very, very good'
Traffic was held up in the steamy midday sun and scores of bystanders were penned in by police when Trump went to meet Lee. At the top of the expanded meeting, Trump said he and Kim "will solve" the problems presented by a nuclear North Korea .

"I need as many rounds as possible, what I don't need is a knock-out after 10 seconds".

"He took a couple of hard punches and didn't want to know". I seem to have everyone behind me and I'm coming back and fighting for them.

With a height advantage of 10 inches and weighing almost five stone heavier than the Albanian, Fury's camp are hopeful that they will find a taller and heavier opponent for his Belfast bout.

As he targets a return to the big-time he briefly left after dethroning Wladimir Klitschko so memorably in November 2015, Fury will surely have no more nights quite so farcical as his triumph over Seferi.

But Fury's reign was brief with rematches twice cancelled against Klitschko before he admitted to problems with depression, drink and drugs.

Rafael Nadal beats Dominic Thiem for 11th French Open title
The Spaniard's reign on the clay of Roland Garros has been unprecedented and has been one of the surest things in tennis history. Nadal clinched an 11th French Open with a 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 victory against Dominic Thiem on Sunday to take his majors total to 17.

The former IBF, WBA and WBO champion was absent from the ring due to a lengthy wrangle over an alleged doping offence, which Fury denied committing.

Fury's titles are now in the hands of English rival Anthony Joshua, but promoter Frank Warren said fights against Joshua and Deontay Wilder, the World Boxing Council (WBC) champion from American, are a way off yet.

"Tyson will step up each time", Warren said at a press conference. "It has been a long time out of the ring, I was not in a rush, taking time when I started to get going, they pulled him out". He needs to get the ring rust off.

There is no doubt Seferi can punch - 21 of his 23 wins have come inside the distance - but all his wins have come at cruiserweight, and his only loss was to heavyweight contender Manuel Charr in September 2016.
