Arsenal chief Burgess: No pushback from players over Emery's new training methods

Arsenal finished outside of the top four for the second year running last season and the club has turned to Emery to take them back.

Burgess also gave an insight to how Emery operates as a manager. He said, "The quality gap is not as big as in the Bundesliga". So, understandably, manager Pep Guardiola has not really been embroiled in a lot of transfer action, with only goalie Joe Hart, who was already frozen out of the team for the past few seasons, sold to Burnley, and Yaya Toure released. He believes the current Arsenal squad is far more superior than the previous Premier League winning teams.

Another advantage that Emery probably has going into Sunday's game, and by extension the rest of the season, is the fact he has had more time working with most of the players who were not on World Cup duty for their national teams.

Mina, Gomes: Everton sign Barça pair, plus Shakhtar's Bernard
Everton's season-long loan deal for Portugal's Gomes will see them pay 2.25 million euros and the player's wages. The fee could rise by 1.5 million euros and Barcelona have inserted a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

No one needs to be reminded of how Guardiola's team blew everyone out of the title race previous year, and they are huge favorites going into this match.

New manager Unai Emery admitted his intention to keep the 27 year-old when joining the club last month, although he didn't appear confident that would be the case, and he will certainly be happy to know he will have the best player of last season with the squad until the winter at least. Liverpool, just like Tottenham, must win something someday.

"If it's not their goal to win the league, why all the changes in the club?"

Tribune calls off $3.9B buyout by Sinclair
The Maryland company said Thursday in a prepared statement that the Tribune lawsuit is "entirely without merit". Sinclair has been scrutinized for its ties to the Trump administration.

"In the past, Arsenal have won games on great football, individual brilliance and having great attacking players".

That gutsy display against the eventual bronze medalists is thought to have gained manager Akira Nishino more favour in his homeland, but the Japan FA would still prefer to bring in Wenger. That is a worry because this match is against the almighty Manchester City.

The German keeper also heaped praise on Arsenal's arch-rivals Spurs, who have impressed under Mauricio Pochettino. "But it's must if you want to be a big side", the man added.
