Asia Argento Reportedly Made a Deal With Own Sexual Assault Accuser

In response, Argento reportedly agreed to pay Bennett a total of $380,000, beginning with a lump sum payment of $200,000.

The 42-year-old actress is one of the most prominent voices of the #MeToo campaign, after accusing Harvey Weinstein of rape.

Bennett claimed the "sexual battery" affected his work and mental health, his attorney wrote previous year in a notice of intent to sue that was sent to Argento's lawyer, per The Times. The age of consent in California is 18.

The New York Times report did not state that Argento admitted any wrongdoing. In the notice, Bennett explained that seeing Argento "present herself as a victim of sexual assault was too much to bear... and called up memories of their hotel reunion", according to The Times.
