Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review: Hands-on impressions of the new phone

SAMSUNG HAS SURPRISED no one with the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 9, which is exactly what you were expecting it to be.

Samsung made a big deal about how it "invented" the big phone with the first Note, but it seems hell-bent on seeing how much bigger it can get away with. In the US, the Galaxy Watch LTE version will be available through AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon as well as at Samsung.

The trademark feature of the Note series is the S Pen stylus.

The volume of people that truly need 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and a 6.4-inch screen, along with a Bluetooth remote (which the S Pen has become) is tiny, and yet Samsung hopes to sell millions of units of this phone. It has a built-in battery which is charged when in the silo.

Kohli calls on fans to support all team members
Kohli smashed 149 and 51 in both innings of the Edgbaston Test but his efforts went in vain as India lost the match by 31 runs. Joining Kohli for the meet and greet was Anushka Sharma donning a handsome traditional dress in mint colour.

The S Pen pops in and out of the phone's body with a satisfying click.

Samsung accidentally spilled the beans on the Watch late last month with a store listing. On stage a pro-doodler demonstration even swapped between the two devices.

Here are my thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Watch, broken down into a series of key scoring categories, ranging from design and build quality, to hardware and features. If it's blurry or the subject has their eyes closed, you'll receive an instant pop-up notification letting you know you need to take picture again. It has an excellent camera, a headphone jack (and still fits that huge battery, what an achievement!), all the carrier network feature support, wireless charging, waterproofing, Samsung Pay, and a huge array of accessories. Biometric security is catered for with Iris Scanner, Fingerprint Scanner, Facial Recognition or the "Intelligent Scan" combo of iris and face.

No phone offers the combination of technology, features, and capability that the Galaxy Note9 does, and Samsung is well aware of that. United States pre-orders Start from 10 August (tomorrow) and pre-orders get a free pair of AKG noise-cancelling headphones (worth about $299) or 15,000 in Fortnite V-Bucks. Can you get your hands on one soon? Going back years, I've predicted the consolidation of Samsung's smartphone lineup as only making sense with the S and the Note getting more and more similar with each passing generation.

Paul Merson believes Liverpool FC need to sign another centre-half to finally win their first Premier League title. We saw the game against Chelsea , they are top quality.

Samsung also announced a new smartwatch and a partnership with Spotify meant to make it easier to switch music playback between phones, TVs and the company's new speaker.

Flipping the phone over reveals the new dual-lens camera that Samsung was keen to shout about at yesterday's event.

Looking for something a bit simpler?
