3-alarm fire erupts in Lawrence as evacuated residents head home

It's still not clear what caused dozens of natural gas explosions that rocked three MA towns Thursday.

Baker said Eversource would replace Columbia Gas of MA on the same day he warned stunned residents of the towns that the return to normalcy could take time following blasts Thursday that set homes ablaze, forced evacuations and left one person dead.

The blasts killed at least one person, injured at least 10 more and started 70 fires in three different communities.

A pipeline controller working at a console in Columbus, Ohio, noticed the pressure increase in a pipeline in Lawrence, Massachusetts, one of the three towns where the fires occurred, Sumwalt told CNN's Alison Kosik.
