WALL STREET: U.S. stock indexes fell on Friday after President Donald Trump said he's ready to impose tariffs on essentially every good that's imported from China.

Apple might increase USA production in the next 5 - 10 years, but it will still remain a small part of its manufacturing footprint. Office Depot also said the tariffs would impact small- and medium-sized US companies. Hence the production of Ford cars at USA soil had become quite expensive.

"Even if you had demand and volume, it's still very hard to build a small vehicle in the US profitably, which is why you find very few of them here".

Apple outlined how the company's operations and products will be affected by the tariffs.
