Mac Miller Was Reportedly Dead for Hours Before His Body Was Found


Though his death was widely reported to be a drug overdose, his official cause of death has been "deferred" by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

In the 911 call audio, which was heavily redacted and obtained by TMZ, the male caller can be heard pleading with the operator to send emergency crews as soon as possible.

Police allegedly found a "tiny amount" of an unknown white substance in Miller's home, which the site claims may have been scrubbed clean before authorities arrived.

Mac's body was found at around noon on Friday, 7 September by a friend who then made the 911 call. By 2007, he began releasing mixtapes under the name EZ Mac before changing his name to Mac Miller.

Still, Miller's autopsy has been completed, People reports.

The dispatch call came in as "cardiac arrest" as it is thought the friend did not realise Mac was already dead.
